They collaborate closely with schools, families, settings, and professionals to ensure a fully integrated and personalised approach to each learner’s educational journey.

SENDATS is made up of Specialist Teams aligned with the primary areas of need set out in the SEND Code of Practice (2014):

Multi-disciplinary Training & Special Projects (5–25)

All teams include SEMH specialist teachers and experienced Specialist HLTAs working collaboratively through the Graduated Approach to promote inclusion, progress, and wellbeing.
Our client is seeking an experienced Specialist Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the SENDATS team and support children and young people with a wide range of SEND needs across Redbridge.
This is a unique and rewarding role that requires flexibility, independence, and a truly child-centred mindset. The successful candidate will work across a variety of settings — including mainstream classrooms, specialist provisions, and students’ homes — providing targeted interventions, personalised support, and specialist strategies to help pupils access learning and make sustained progress.
HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience)
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive practices.
Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with pupils and families.
Confident delivering 1:1 or group-based interventions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle – essential due to travel between settings.
Flexible, proactive, and committed to delivering the highest standard of support.

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Class Teacher to join a specialist provision in Ipswich. The setting supports pupils aged 5 to 18 with a range of complex needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
The school provides a safe, structured and nurturing environment where pupils are supported to achieve both academically and personally. Staff work collaboratively to ensure each child feels valued, respected and empowered to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned to the national curriculum, adapted to meet individual SEMH needs
Work closely with support staff to facilitate learning and promote positive behaviour
Monitor and report on pupil progress, highlighting any concerns and contributing to review processes
Supervise pupils during break times, enrichment activities and educational visits
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and improve outcomes
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Degree-level education
Proven teaching experience
Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting
Strong behaviour management skills
A commitment to ongoing professional development
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
